ABOUT NOBLE & COOLEY DRUMS
I knew the brand and about the very high quality of their instruments for decades but, I never had the chance to hold one in my hands. I heard their wonderful sound on a couple of CD's from some of my favourite drummers and, I couldn't believe how good they sound so, it wasn't until early 2021 when I bought my first snare drum that my journey as a drummer would change. It was a life revelation. Like a wake up call. It was a Red Oak piccolo.
I was stunned, speechless; my friend who was with me in that moment when trying the snare drum for the first time said, he had never heard anything like that. What impacted me first was the unbelievable tone. So pure and musical, I really could hear the wood sing and resonate. Next was the sensitivity. Amazing, the buzz rolls are like the wind, effortless, crisp and very responsive, even at the lowest volume and touch. Then, the crack and musical projection of the rim shots is an absolute pleasure to the ear. Again, tone of the highest quality without a doubt. Finally, I was very impressed with the precise construction and detailed craftsmanship, the quality is evident. The solid shell which is the root of the great tone of the drum, to say it's made to perfection would be an understatement. The refined and strong lugs and hardware look beautiful, and do the perfect job holding everything in place firmly. In true, it was a wonderful drum and experience. So, that's the day when I was fully convinced that, their great reputation was true and their drums are a monument to the highest quality. Since then, my passion for Noble & Cooley grew unstoppably.
Today, I am more than proud to be officially, the first Noble & Cooley artist in Australia. NC is a drum company I absolutely admire, respect and believe in 110% and; I will endeavour to spread their name and sound as much as possible so, other drummers can discover one of the greatest secrets in the drum industry.
